The TOK-SEN technique developed in what is now considered northern Thailand and is practiced in the provinces of Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Lamphun (as far as northern Thailand is concerned) and in the neighboring areas of Myanmar and Laos. The word Tok is a verb which means "to hammer" or "apply forcefully"; the word "Sen" means "rope, broken, thread," but in Thai medicine it indicates the means by which energies pass through the human body. Two tools are used in this technique: a hammer and a chisel generally made of wood; it consists in gently hammering the Sen and particular points, which if stimulated allow the energies to flow better in the body.

The SESSION lasts about an hour and generally takes place on a tatami, although it can be practiced on a bed. For both the operator and the recipient, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothing made of natural fibers (cotton, linen, etc.)

The BENEFITS of a treatment can be multiple:

- Relieve muscle tension.

- Relieve joint pain.

- Alleviate imbalances linked to specific Sen.

- Bring mental and physical relaxation.

- Stimulate vitality.

- Restore energy balance.

N.B: These techniques "ARE NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ANY MEDICAL, PARAMEDIC, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHIATRIC THERAPIES" but are methods aimed at restoring the user's energy balance.

N.B: The profession of Operator is governed by law no. 4 (Official Gazette January 26, 2013 No. 22).
